Drvenik Veli

Drvenik Veli is an island situated in middle of Dalmatia, not far from Trogir. The only settlement on the island is the near-eponymous village of Drvenik Veliki. The island, which was first inhabited in the 15th century, has a population of just 168 people.

Croatian monuments from the 13th century refer to the island as ‘Gerona’ or ‘Giruan’. There are many beaches nearby, with friendly locals who are more than welcoming. You’ll be transported back in time, to an ancient world of unspoiled nature, beautiful beaches, and a peaceful environment that is perfect for a quiet and intimate holiday.

What to see

On the south side of the island is a beautiful bay named Solinska. On the east side is a nice place called Krknjaši, famously known as the Blue Lagoon.
