Village Marovici

Marovici is a small stone village situated in the Lustica peninsula. The village is home to 11 houses, connected by a few small and quiet streets which are rarely interrupted by much more than passing villagers, animals, and the occasional vehicle. Locals are known to trade goods such as fresh fruits and vegetables, along with staples such as bread and water.

A walk around the village will reveal a number of interesting features- including two churches, a large public well, and numerous stone granaries that often double as small meeting areas.

Fresh fruit trees such as fig, pomegranate and orange are known to grow in the wild alongside common herbs such as bay leaf, oregano, rosemary and thyme.

It won’t be long before you get to know the village and feel like part of this small rural community.
